graceKIDS Put Faith in Motion

All summer long, graceKIDS learned lessons from the Bible around the theme of Jump! Put your Faith in Motion! One way they decided to do just that was by collecting money for Esperanza International in the Dominican Republic.

“It’s important for kids to see how their faith can be put in action outside the walls of the church,” says Rachel. “We also wanted to connect graceKIDS to Grace’s global ministry partnership with Esperanza.” (Learn more about how we’re serving and giving with Esperanza.)

graceKIDS had a competition between the boys and girls to see who could bring in the most money for Esperanza. “it was a really close race,” says Rachel. “The boys brought in $137.43 and the girls brought in $128.72, so the boys won the bragging rights.”

graceKIDS also closed out the summer with a service project to help kids in the Dominican Republic. The kids decorated tote bags, filled them with school supplies, and wrote a personal note to the child who would receive it.

Our next service project will be Operation Christmas Child in November, helping our kids to learn to have a thankful heart. Watch for more on that soon! You can also make a difference right now by serving in graceKIDS — explore the opportunities and start by showing us your serving style with our fun Volunteer Personality Quiz.
